Start the original game, then plan your next talent points.
Azeroth Survivors how to play: first open Aethus’s original game, then use the 9 documented class references to choose an opening you want to try. In the companion, enter your actual talent points, inspect the early route and save a draft. After playing, record one failed condition before changing the connected choices.
Actual interface of this companion: the checkpoint highlights the first three recorded points. This is not a screenshot of the original game.
Start with the right project
The original browser entry is wow.aethus.pl. The similarly named CurseForge addon runs inside World of Warcraft, and the GitHub reconstruction has a separate local-build workflow. Their instructions are not interchangeable.
Choose a class whose documented opening you want to try. Read a starting idea, set the points you actually have and inspect the early route. Save a copy before changing the plan. After a run, note the condition that failed: reaching the target, surviving nearby or finishing the boss. That is more useful than changing every choice together.
Check the data version against your game.
Keep a recovery or movement problem separate from a damage problem.
Record missing equipment as a target, not as an equipped bonus.
Keep the two kinds of saves separate
A planner export contains this site’s configuration. It is not the original game’s save and cannot restore a lost character. Use the original game’s own save controls for game progress.
Suppose you have opened the creator’s game and want to try one class without copying a finished late-game recording. Read that class’s default opening, then choose one mechanism you want to inspect. In the planner, set the points you actually have and make a small valid route. Look at its current stage before adding a final capstone. A character level is not a substitute for checking your available talent points.
Keep equipment assumptions visible: an item you want belongs in targets until you own it, and ownership still differs from the loadout. Save or export the draft before changing it. After the attempt, write one specific observation, such as attacks losing contact during movement or a trigger not yet being unlocked. Change the connected part of the route for the next attempt. The planner records that decision; it neither plays the run nor restores the original game’s character.

Azeroth Survivors how to play · questions
Which Azeroth Survivors project should I open?
The original browser entry is wow.aethus.pl. The similarly named CurseForge addon runs inside World of Warcraft, and the GitHub reconstruction has a separate local-build workflow.
What should I plan before changing many choices?
Choose a class whose documented opening you want to try. Read a starting idea, set the points you actually have and inspect the early route.
Does a companion export replace a game backup?
A planner export contains this site’s configuration. It is not the original game’s save and cannot restore a lost character.
How many points and planned spell slots are available?
The current reference allows at most 51 talent points and six spell slots. Select your actual point budget; the checkpoint shows a prefix of the recorded route, not points earned by this site.
Why is a talent blocked even after its row opens?
A row opens every five points spent in its tree, but checked prerequisites require the earlier talent’s full rank. Alternatives can use OR. Mutually exclusive choices still cannot be combined.
Why did my required starting spell change?
Some talents grant another opening skill; others replace the default. The planner follows explicit current starting-ability fields. If a grant would exceed six planned skills, remove an optional choice before adding it.
